Introduced to voice lessons at age 8 by my beloved mother, my first solo performance on a public stage was at age 10 at the Lionel Wendt theater in my hometown of Colombo, Sri Lanka. I sang two Neapolitan classics.
In 2007/2008 as a tenor in the Sri Lankan acapella group The Revelations, I was instrumental in its successes in winning Gold and Silver medals at the Asian Choir Games held in Jakarta, Indonesia and two World Championships at the World Choir Games held in Graz, Austria.
It was indeed a very solemn and emotional moment for the Revelations when they were announced as Champions in the Gospel and Spiritual – Vocal Ensemble category and when the Sri Lankan flag was hoisted and everyone in the stadium rose to their feet for the Sri Lankan National Anthem.

In 2012, I joined the Harvard Glee Club. Amidst a series of successful concerts the highlight of the year was our performance on the Perelman Stage at Carnegie Hall in January 2013.
Lately, I have taken to creating and recording acapella originals. I’ve also done some acapella covers, some of which have been in collaboration with my friends at the Berkelee School of Music. Check out my soundcloud for more.
